Two day meetings at Cheltenham and Doncaster, featuring the Ryman Stationery Handicap Chase on Friday and Albert Bartlett Bristol Novices' Hurdle, Caspian Caviar Gold Cup and stanjames.com International Hurdle on Saturday at Cheltenham. Whilst bet365 sponsors the December Novices' Chase and Summit Juvenile Hurdle on Saturday at Doncaster.

Arrive the night before and wake-up fresh on fixture day, having slept in a comfortable bed, knowing that there is a good breakfast and your favourite newspaper awaiting you.

Have a leisurely morning studying 'the form' and maybe an early lunch and a drink with friends, before making the journey to the track.

Two day meeting at Ascot, featuring the Kennel Gate Novices' Hurdle and Noel Novices' Chase on Friday and the JLT Long Walk Hurdle with The Ladbroke Handicap Hurdle on Saturday.

At the end of an enjoyable day's racing, an exhilarating but nonetheless exhausting experience, whether financially successful or otherwise, why join the crush for the long journey home?

In your own good time return to your chosen hostelry for a well earned drink with the locals and a substantial supper before tumbling into bed. Next morning awake refreshed and ready for your return journey home or, stamina and pocket permitting, go on to another meeting.

Tuesday 26th. and Wednesday 27th. December.

Two day meetings at Wetherby, Wolverhampton and Kempton Park where the feature races at the latter are; the Kauto Star Novices' Chase, Christmas Hurdle and King George VI Chase on Boxing Day, followed by the Wayward Lad Novices' Chase and Desert Orchid Chase on Wednesday. 

Chepstow meeting on Wednesday featuring the coral.co.uk Future Champions Finale Juvenile Hurdle and Coral Welsh Grand National.

Saturday 30th. December.

Newbury meeting featuring the Betfred Goals Galore Challow Novices' Hurdle.
